 Topic: Hands on fire

Aim: Safely set our hand on fire!

What we know already: Fire is hot, dangerous. some fire is blue. We use gas to make fire in the lab.

Method & Equipment:

  1. Put on our safety glasses, take your jackets off
  2. Fill a container with water and soap
  3. cover your hands with water up to your elbows
  4. Turn on the gas and fill the bubbles
  5. Scoop your hands into the bubbles (the more bubbles the bigger the flame)
  6. Stand with your arms straight out in front
  7. A Teacher will light the bubbles on fire
  8. Slowly turn your palms to your teacher and it will stop

When I was watching the hands on fire there was a lot of scarred faces. But the lighter got some water on it or it ran out of fire.
